Rumble made its UK festival debut at Manchester Film Festival at the weekend, screening in front of a near full crowd at the AMC cinema.
The film played twice over the course of the weekend, first screening as part of UK shorts session 2 and then in front of the inspiring Alex Zanardi documentary ‘No Limits: Impossible is just a word’ on the Sunday. Director Matthew Hopper was in attendance along with actors Alexander Shenton and John MacDonald.
The film also picked up a jury special mention at the awards ceremony. Although it didn’t take the main prize – best UK short (that went to the rather fantastic ‘Break’) we are thrilled that the film was well received and made an impression on the judges!
Thanks to ManIFF for putting together a great festival with so many awesome films on show. And thanks to everyone who came to watch Rumble.
Up next is Phoenix film festival in April.
